Thank you! For helping us have another successful auction that will help us distribute the proceeds to local agencies in the fight against Cancer. The final total for 2019 is $100,000
Here is a breakdown of how we have allocated your generous donations to the 2019 auction:
- $10,000 — LIVESTRONG at the Waynesboro YMCA
- $10,000 — Oncology Bridge Fund at Summit Health
- $15,000 — Hennessy Home through Summit Health — To go toward the renovations for the new Cancer Wellness Center at Hennessy Home.
- $20,000 — Hope Lodge of Central Pennsylvania (Hershey) — We will adopt 2 rooms.
- $20,000 — AstraZeneca Hope Lodge of Philadelphia — We will adopt 2 rooms.
- $25,000 — American Cancer Society – Franklin County Unit
With the proceeds from our 2018 Gala Auction we were able to allocate $15,000 to the Hershey Hope Lodge (along with other distributions). The money donated to the lodge was used to greatly improve the Tranquility Garden enjoyed by all of the patients and caregivers who are given accommodations at the lodge.

Also in 2018, we allocated $15,000 to the Philadelphia Hope Lodge, which was used to “Adopt-A-Room” for patients and families to stay in. Click HERE to see one entry in the journal left by families thanking you! — for your generous donations.

Volunteers at each year’s kick-off meeting are often presented with a number of pamphlets and forms outlining programs sponsored by the ACS, and their continuing efforts in the fight against cancer. Many brochures are available to provide education, and teach self-examination. Contact your local ACS office for copies. If you don’t know how to contact them, visit the ACS Web Site and use their Local ACS Web Pages locator function.
